Let it Shine vs Rags

Post  Admin on Sat Jun 23, 2012 10:59 am

both are musicals involving a cinderalla-ish theme.

Let it Shine has Tyler james Williams (everybody hates chris) as the lead character- a boy who finds himself through music. He's shy, withdrawn and unable to express his open admiration for the girl he fancies due to a mix up with a letter he wrote her. he agrees to take the backseat and let his friend be in the spotlight.

Rags is a rich-girl-meets-poor-boy theme.

poor boy ends up helping rich girl discover herself, rich girl helps him discover himself, and they end up happily ever after (ie dating).

plotline in the former seems stereotypical, although the casting and overall experience makes for pleasant viewing, while in Rags, plotline is also predictable but the two main characters do seem to flow with each other. The chemistry is interesting.
