Deep Fried Butter

Where It's Sold: State Fair of Texas, Dallas, TX
The Fried Facts: This simple fried snack is a Texas fair favorite. Creator Abel Gonzales — who dropped his gig as a computer analyst and programmer to become a state-fair frying king — first dipped butter-and-dough balls into the deep fryer to pay homage to one of his breakfast obsessions: toast with butter. Since then he's sold more than 25,000 orders of the tasty deep-fried butter balls!

Little Nookies

The name says it all — this tasty fried treat is a little bit of a naughty indulgence for the restaurant's dessert-craving customers. Torchy's Tacos wanted a dessert that had a street-food personality. The result: a deep-fried mix of chocolate chip cookie dough, funnel cake batter, and cornflakes.

Deep-Fried Turkey

.

The Thanksgiving table has a new centerpiece: fried turkey. Jive Turkey owner Aricka Westbrooks deep-fries her turkeys in a pressurized fryer. This method yields crispy, golden-brown skin and remarkably tender, juicy meat that's ready in less than 24 minutes. The best part? Jive Turkey ships its flavor-packed birds nationwide.
