Obviously, there is no way any man can be deprived of his cultural right. It is a human right. In this matter, who is eligible to become the Olufon (the monarch of Ifon-Osun) in Osun State?

As observed, the matter is in court. What has the court done about the matter? His Royal Majesty, Oba Al Moroof Adekunle Magbagbeola has been accused by other princes that he ...

Imagine you are driving a car and you are involved in an accident in an inaccessible spot. Nobody knows your whereabouts. You can get prompt assistance through a novel medical response.

The medical emergency response, Crash Alert, was introduced by two organisations, Matrixtrack and Critical Rescue International, to reduce deaths caused by lack of prompt medical assistance during road accidents.

The Business Development Manager of Matrixtrack, Mr. Henry Ononiwu, explained the emergency ...

BANGALORE/HONG KONG - When her baby turned blue, Nivetha Biju rushed the child to the emergency room of an Indian hospital and watched helplessly as the baby lost consciousness because the nurses on duty had no idea what to do.

Eventually a doctor saved the baby’s life, but many patients are not so lucky in India and in other developing countries where a scarcity of doctors and trained nurses means there is often no helping hand in times of need.

OSLO - Bernt Aune’s transplanted cornea has been in use for a record 123 years — since before the Eiffel Tower was built.

“This is the oldest eye in Norway — I don’t know if it’s the oldest in the world,” Aune, an 80-year-old Norwegian and former ambulance driver, told Reuters by telephone on Thursday. “But my vision’s not great any longer.”

He had a cornea transplanted into his right eye in 1958 from the body of an elderly man who was born in June 1885. The operation was carried out ...

The number of Japanese people hitting the landmark age of 100 has reached record levels.

There are now 36,276 centenarians in the country - a rise of 4,000 on last year's figure, a report by the Health and Welfare Ministry found.

Women make up the vast majority of those who are living past 100.

Japan has one of the world's longest life expectancies, but there are concerns about the burden this is placing on society.

Both the country's pension system and social services ...
