The Little Foxes

set in the 1900s, a tale of greed, innocence and intrigue.

Interesting and great scenery and outfits as well. Faintly disturbing tho.

The storyline could use a little tweaking however. But Bette Davis shines, as do the other actors.

Coraline- stop motion picture

didnt know they made these kind of movies anymore.

Deliciously creepy and had me on the edge of my seat most of the time.

The heroine hurtles uncontrollably towards doom, many of the main characters are weird, freaky and shocking, and some of the performances are waayyy over the top. Plus a last minute surprise at the end.

A must see.

well, it was okay up until the last part.

Great start, rather predictable ending.

Nice stunts and special effects however.

Brendan Fraser shines, as usual, and the supporting cast are examplary, imo. The female lead is quite noteworthy as well.

Good plot, impressive special effects and CGI.

Riveting though depressive performance by Heath Ledger, who manages to control much of the plot.

Rather too dark for my liking- I prefer a more PC Batman, but generally, an interesting take.

with Bill Murray.

Very touching movie with impressive views of Tokyo.

I'm sure all of Japan isnt as glamorous as depicted in the movie, but the backdrop was still a sight for sore eyes nonetheless. Loved it.

as usual, Bill Murray connects on that human level. The main actress had star quality as well.

sad movie in a way, but essentially and adequately captures that "nostalgic" feeling we all get once in a while.

Wall-E (disney)

surprisingly good. I'd been expecting a shallow flick with the usual pasty plot, but Wall-E turned out to be so much more than that. Nice apocalyptic disney (what a rarity), with the usual villain and aslo the hero/heroine love story. With some heroics thrown in as well. On the lighter side though there's some social commentary thrown in. Yes, I know I have to get off the computer and get to real life. Exercise is important! Thanks for reminding me, Disney.

The Wedding Date (romantic comedy)

beautiful acting and sexy characters.

Debra Messing was excellent, Dermot Mulroney (Nick) was perfect. A charmer if I ever saw one.

wonder how I never noticed how much Debra looks like Jennifer Aniston? Like a brunette Jen. My friend said she looks better than jen, but I'm not too sure ,really.

But great movie so far. Am almost done watching it.

Garfield- the movie

um, just so so.

I really like Breckin meyer, but this movie simply didnt do it for me.

I know I'm watching it late, but still. Besides, I thought I was getting Garfield- A tale of two kitties, and didnt realize my mistake until I started playing the dvd.

checked the reviews on wiki, and learnt it tanked.

powerful movie. Quiet yet elegant and speaks volumes.

Mixed reaction to Diana's death and her relations with the royal family.

A powerful story about relationship dynamics in the monarchy.

Quite impressive, I must say. I hadnt expected to enjoy the movie, and I was rather pleasantly surprised.

Great movie. Started off with a rather depressing depiction of the main characters involved, but improved very quickly.

A touching movie, and leonardo Dicaprio doesnt disappoint.

The Scorpion King 2

okay, I have to admit I spent the first thirty minutes of this movie waiting for The Rock to appear.

When he didnt, I kind of lost interest even though it looked promising.

Maybe I'll watch it again one of these days.

High School Musical 3

High School Musical 3! I cant believe its only out in theaters and not on tv where i normally watch it! sheesh! I have to wait till it comes out on dvd, if I dont want to catch it on the big screen? This seriously sucks. I'd been looking forward to a quiet night of HSM 3, with a snack by my side. Getting ready to see if Disney kept up with the good work here. Its kind of embarassing being such a HSM fan, since the movie is mainly aimed at teens and preteens, I should think. ...
