Dr Newton Jibunoh, Nigerian environmentalist, engineer, and internationally reknowned explorer

Newton Jibunoh is the Founder of FADE (Fight Against Desert Encroachment),a non-governmental and not-for-profit organization established in 2000. He has received several Honors and awards, for his immense contribution to the course of humanity, amongst which includes the “Officer of the Order of the Niger” (OON); Conqueror of the Sahara Desert (CSD), amongst others.
He has devoted his life to the long-term crusade against desertification and desert encroachment.
He recently received the ‘African Tourism Human Treasure’ Award at the British Museum, London, in recognition of his immense contribution to humanity and his effort towards checking desert encroachment in Africa.
He is currently planting millions of trees with a group of volunteers to reclaim and resettle lands taken by the desert, in the northern parts of Nigeria bordering the Sahara desert, starting with kano, Borno and Yobe states. He resettles the reclaimed lands with people by establishing schools and training programs for the teachers, setting up cottage industries, clean water, electricity, etc, and thereby curbing migration.

Remi Adefarasin: Cinematographer

Remi Adefarasin, B.S.C., (born 2 February 1948, London) is a noted British cinematographer. He is educated in Photography & Filmmaking at Harrow Art School. Started his career as camera trainee at BBC-tv's Ealing Studios. His work on Elizabeth (1998) won him awards for Best Cinematography from BAFTA and the British Society of Cinematographers, as well as a "Golden Frog" from Camerimage and an Academy Award nomination.
